Foss’ Roberto Gittens slams windmill dunk; Bellarmine’s Malachi Flynn is South Sound’s scoring leader
TNT HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
3. SPIN CYCLE
Olympia’s Sophie Wood scored a game-high 12 points for the Bears in a loss to Puyallup, but she got two of them through four defenders.
She drove to her right from the left wing, spun back to her left and scooped a left-handed layup from the left block for the bank, despite being circled by three defenders.

— LeftCoastRecruiting (@LC_Recruiting) January 23, 2016North Thurston was looking for the upset of Wilson.
David Jenkins Jr. wouldn’t have it.
He stepped through three North Thurston defenders in the final seconds, jumped off his opposite foot, and windmilled the ball back to his right hand to finish at the basket with less than four seconds to play as Wilson escaped North Thurston with a 66-65 victory.
Jenkins scored a game-high 27 points, but none were bigger than his final two.
1. GITTENS GETS UP
Nobody told Roberto Gittens he already won the dunk contest.
That was a month ago at the Les Schwab Invitational in Portland. But the Foss High School junior followed last week with two vicious dunks against rival Mount Tahoma.
The first he dribbled up the court, pressing hard at halfcourt and tomahawked into the middle of the lane for the slam.
Then again – He picked off a bounce pass at the top of the key and threw down a crowd-injecting windmill dunk.
Gittens scored 24 points in Foss’ 69-46 victory.
