Local coffee drive-thru chain opens new location in University Place

Good news for those who need caffeine and don’t have much time to spare — a new coffee drive-thru is now open in University Place.

Rainier Valley Coffee, a local coffee stand chain, opened the new location last month at 5915 Hannah Pierce Road.

With the addition of the University Place drive-thru, Rainer Valley Coffee now has six locations across the South Sound.

The drink menu includes espresso, teas, matcha, energy drinks and smoothies. There’s an option to get a split cup, which gets you two drinks in one.

The chain’s signature drinks include White Pass, with white chocolate white coffee and salted caramel, and the Snoqualmie, with guava, coconut and blue energy drink.

The University Place location is serving drinks and pre-packaged food right now, as the business is waiting on permits to serve bites like breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast, owner Amanda Faille told The News Tribune.

Expect lots of deals during the new location’s grand opening Saturday, May 2; from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., the coffee stand will offer free 16-ounce drinks, gift card deals and giveaways.

The University Place location is open 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
