Man killed after driving into train in Tacoma
A man died early Tuesday after driving into a slow-moving train in Tacoma, police said.
Police said the collision took place about 2:45 a.m. at Lincoln Avenue and Milwaukee Way.
The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He did not have any passengers in his Acura.
Traffic was diverted to Marshall Avenue and the area is expected to remain closed during the morning commute.
There are no flashing lights or railroad crossing arm at the spot where Lincoln Avenue crosses the train tracks.
