Motorcyclist dead from crash in Tacoma identified. No arrests to be made, police say

A Tacoma man who died from a wreck in a West End intersection earlier this month has been identified.

Anthony Gayvoronski, 24, died from multiple blunt-force injuries on March 6 near the 3100 block of North Pearl Street. His death has been listed as an accident, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office in a news release.

Officers were dispatched at 5:55 p.m. to the area after a passerby reported the crash that occurred between Gayvoronski’s motorcycle and a van. Gayvoronski died at the scene, The News Tribune reported.

The driver of the van stayed at the scene and did not have life-threatening injuries, but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

No arrests will be made because the actions of the van’s driver was not criminal, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Sgt. John Correa told The News Tribune.

The Tacoma Police Department is investigating the crash and a cause has not been released.
