Lake Tapps woman killed after crashing car into guardrail identified

A Lake Tapps woman who died after crashing her vehicle into a guardrail late last month has been identified as 42-year-old Stephanie Zuck, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Zuck died from multiple blunt-force injuries on July 25 near the 15800 block of Forest Canyon Road East. Her manner of death was listed as an accident, the office wrote in a news release.

Deputies were dispatched to the crash at about 11:15 p.m. Zuck was pronounced dead upon their arrival, according to a report from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

“It appeared the vehicle had left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck the guardrail,” the report said.

No one else was in the car, The News Tribune reported.
