Where can I watch free outdoor movies in Pierce County?
This summer, Pierce County Parks & Recreation is hosting free Movies in the Park at two venues in the Tacoma area.
The free outdoor screening series kicks off Saturday, July 11, and concludes Saturday, July 24.
“As the sun sets, get ready to be entertained by family-friendly movies projected onto the big screen,” Parks & Recreation said on its website.
Moviegoers should arrive early to take advantage at “exciting preshow activities and games,” starting at 7 p.m., organizers said.
You can “pack your own snacks and picnic treats to munch on during the movie or indulge in the delicious offerings from food trucks on site,” organizers said.
What’s screening at Tacoma rec center?
On Saturday, July 11, you can watch classic movie musical “Grease” for free at the Sprinkler Recreation Center, 521 South Military Road in Tacoma.
The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m.
The Kona Ice and Simply Kettle Popcorn food trucks will serve up treats on site.
Where are free summer movies showing in Puyallup?
You can watch the adventure drama “Togo,” about a champion sled dog trainer, on Friday, July 17.
The free, dog-friendly screening starts at dusk at Meridian Habitat Park, 14422 East Meridian in Puyallup.
Cup of Jones Espresso and Big Dawgs Hot Dogs food trucks will be on hand.
“Bring along your furry friends (as long as they are non-aggressive) to join in on the fun,” organizers said.
On Friday, July 24, Meridian Park will host a no-cost screening of the live-action sci-fi comedy “Lilo & Stitch.”
The movie will begin at dusk.
You can grab a drink or a bite at Cup of Jones Espresso and Big Dawgs Hot Dogs.
Which Tacoma parks have free movies?
In July, The Grand Cinema in Tacoma will host free outdoor movie screenings at parks across Tacoma.
“We set up our 30-foot-wide, inflatable screen at a different outdoor venue for each free screening,” organizers said on the movie theater’s website. “Bring your own blankets, chairs and snacks!”
Screenings start at sunset.
On Saturday, July 11, The Grand Cinema will show action comedy “D.E.B.S.” at Wright Park, 501 South I St. in Tacoma, in honor of Pride Month.
You can watch animated spots movie “Goat” on the front lawn of the Salishan Family Investment Center, 1724 East 44th St. in Tacoma, on Saturday, July 25.
When can I see free movies at Tacoma theater?
The Grand Cinema is also offering a Free Family Flick screening series this summer.
On the third Saturday of every month, you can watch a family-friendly movie at the theater at 606 Fawcett Ave. in Tacoma.
The screening series kicks off Saturday, June 20, and runs through Saturday, Sept. 19.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with movies starting at 10 a.m.
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served, basis, and children under age 13 must be accompanied by adults.
