Pedestrian killed in Puyallup semi-truck collision IDed

A man who died in Puyallup after being hit by a semi-truck has been identified.

According to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s public portal, the man was 25-year-old Rudy Diaz Jr. of Fife.

Diaz died at about 3:10 a.m. Sunday, The News Tribune previously reported, after a truck hit him in the 1600 block of North Levee Road, which parallels the Puyallup River.

Diaz, who was a pedestrian, died at the scene, the Puyallup Police Department previously said in a news release.

“The driver of the semi-truck was cooperative, questioned, and released at the scene,” PPD said in a news release.
