Woman crossing Pacific Avenue in Tacoma hit and killed by car
A woman crossing Pacific Avenue in Tacoma died Wednesday when she was hit and killed by a car, police said.
The woman, in her 40s, was not in a crosswalk when she was hit about 7:30 p.m. near South 80th Street and Pacific, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, stayed at the scene and was not cited or arrested, and did not appear to be impaired in any way, Cool said.
