A pick-up truck rammed into the storefront Jan. 6, decimating the interior and causing a gas leak, The News Tribune reported. One person inside the store was injured. Police did not suspect DUI was a factor in the collision and reported that the driver’s feet had become entangled between the accelerator and the brake pedals when he accidentally drove into the business.

Co-owners Maria Miskoski and Mark Crowley opened Bloom Boutique in 2004, South Sound Magazine reported.

“We are incredibly thankful that no one was seriously injured,” the business posted on social media. “Mark has some cuts and bruises, and received a few stitches, but he is doing okay. We are so grateful there were no customers in the store at the time.”

The business temporarily closed and began the process of repairs, posting on Jan. 24 that construction was beginning that week and had an expected timeline of 60 days. The boutique planned to reopen with all new merchandise, the post said.

“The support from our community has meant everything to us,” Maria Miskoski wrote The News Tribune in a message on March 26. “It feels really good to open our doors again, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back!”

Bloom Boutique is at 4763 Point Fosdick Dr. and open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, according to its Instagram.
