New Pierce County hardware store will have free smoked meat, discounts at grand opening
Visitors can grab a bucket, fill it up, and receive 20% off each item inside when they visit the new Ace Hardware & Grocery store at Lake Kathryn on its grand opening day.
The space at 14220 92nd Ave. NW used to be the Food Market at Lake Kathryn.
In March, Don Stolz, who owned the Food Markets at Key Center and Lake Kathryn, retired. He sold both markets to the Myers Group, who took ownership and changed each market into something new.
The Food Market at Key Center opened as the Key Center IGA in July.
The Food Market at Lake Kathryn opened as Ace Hardware & Grocery on Oct. 1, according to their Facebook page.
Now Ace Hardware at Lake Kathryn is inviting the community to celebrate its grand opening Dec. 9.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. visitors will get:
- 20% off items that fit in a 5 gallon ACE bucket, excluding power tools. Customers get to keep the bucket.
- Free samples from the Big Green Egg smoker, which can cook ribs, burgers, turkey and more, according to Ace Hardware’s website.
Free pictures with Santa. Bring your own camera.
Over $2,500 in raffle prizes
The Key Peninsula Business Association will do a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m.
