Puyallup: News

Amazon Go just opened a second location in Pierce County. Here’s where to find it

Amazon Go recently opened a new location near Puyallup.

The store at 15518 Meridian Ave. E. on the South Hill opened Tuesday, Sept. 26. It is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

The store is about 3,800 square feet. It offers “Just Walk Out” shopping technology.

Customers can enter by using the Amazon app, a credit card or Amazon One. When they finish shopping, they can exit without going through a checkout line. Customers are only charged for what they take.

Those who want to pay with cash or SNAP/EBT can do so with the help of a store employee. Customers don’t have to be Amazon Prime members or have an Amazon account to shop at the store.

The store has grab-and-go food, beverages, beer and wine, as well as everyday essentials, according to an email from Amazon spokesperson Alicia Hopkins.

There is a made-to-order kitchen onsite that offers breakfast, sandwiches, burritos and wraps. Specialty beverages available at the store include Starbucks, Coca-Cola and ICEE.

Items from some Washington state businesses are sold in the store, including Alki Bakery, Macrina Bakery, Molly’s, Reuben’s Brews, Georgetown Brewing, Stoup Brewing, Charles Smith and Gilbert Cellars.

The store also has home, personal, health, pet and auto products. Everyday essentials can range from trash bags to dog treats.

Customers can return eligible items purchased from Amazon at the store’s customer service counter. They can also pick up eligible items they ordered online from the store’s Amazon Hub Locker.

The other Amazon Go store in Pierce County is at 17710 Canyon Rd E. #400 in Frederickson. It opened in February.
