Woman struck and killed in Tacoma identified
Pierce County medical examiners have identified the woman struck and killed Thursday night by a hit-and-run driver in Tacoma.
Lynne Dow, 50, was pronounced dead where she was struck about 7:15 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Hosmer Street.
Dow was crossing Hosmer Street from east to west without a crosswalk when she was struck, Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said Friday.
The Jeep that struck Dow was later recovered at an apartment complex in the 9600 block of Hosmer Street, but the driver remains at large.
