Man shot to death in Tacoma street

A man was fatally shot in Tacoma late Wednesday.

Police were called just before 11:30 p.m. to the 300 block of East 26th Street after several people reported hearing gunshots and seeing somebody lying in the middle of the street.

The victim was found unresponsive on the ground.

Although officers and paramedics performed CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not been identified.

Detectives have not arrested anyone and are trying to determine what led up to the shooting.

This is the city’s fourth homicide this month, and seventh of the year.
