Officials identify Puyallup man found shot to death in SUV

A man who was found fatally shot Wednesday in an SUV in Puyallup was identified Friday by the Pierce County Medical Examiner.

Joseph Adrian Beckley, 46, of Puyallup, died of gunshot wounds to the torso, according to a news release from the medical examiner. The office ruled the man’s death a homicide.

Officers from Puyallup Police Department found Beckley in the front seat of an SUV in a parking lot near the 3200 block of East Main Avenue. Witnesses told police they heard several gunshots and saw someone running from the scene.

No one has been arrested.
