Suspect in Spanaway homicide that was caught on home video turns himself in

A suspect wanted for the Wednesday shooting of a man in Spanaway turned himself into Pierce County Sheriff’s Department detectives Friday afternoon, the agency reported.

The suspect fled on foot from the scene of the shooting in the 1800 block of 187th Street Court East early Wednesday, said Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Darren Moss Jr.

According to witnesses, an altercation occurred before the shooting. The victim died at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not been released by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
