Man killed in Spanaway shooting identified by Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office
A 23-year-old man killed last week in a shooting in a Spanaway neighborhood has recently been identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner.
David Kady died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, the Medical Examiner’s Office said in a news release. It stated he was a resident of Spanaway.
Kady was found dead in the street in the early hours of July 5. Prosecutors have charged 19-year-old Tameron Nelson Rodriguez with second-degree murder in Kady’s death. They allege the shooting happened after an altercation in the 1800 block of 187th Street Court East. He’s pleaded not guilty and is out of custody after posting $125,000 bail, records show.
Rodriguez turned himself into the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department two days after the shooting, authorities said. The Sheriff’s Department said the shooting was caught on home video.
