Women killed in double homicide near Tacoma’s Foss Waterway have been identified

Two women who were killed last week in Tacoma’s maritime district died from gunshot wounds, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Wanda Davis, 56 of Tacoma, and Amber Bazan, 43, died from gunshot wounds to the head on Feb. 20 near the 1200 block of St. Paul Avenue, the office said in a news release. They died as a result of homicide.

The release said it is unknown where Bazan is from.

Tacoma firefighters were dispatched to the area at about 2:30 p.m. after the women were found unresponsive in a vehicle, The News Tribune previously reported.

The story said that firefighters discovered the women were dead and alerted police.

No arrests have been made as of Wednesday, according to a Tacoma Police Department spokesperson.
