Woman killed in shooting that left another injured in Tacoma identified

A woman who was killed in an overnight shooting Sunday was identified as Dorys Mahaylia Easley of Tacoma, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Easley, 19, died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Her manner of death was ruled a homicide, the office wrote on its public information portal.

Officers were dispatched at about 12:35 a.m. to the 100 block of East 91st Street after a report of a shooting. Two women who suffered gunshot wounds were found when officers arrived, The News Tribune previously reported.

Easley died at the scene. The other woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday afternoon.
