A woman struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing Pacific Avenue on Thursday evening has been identified by the Pierce County medical examiners.

Angela Brumley, a 30-year-old Edgewood resident, was running across the road in Midland near 106th Street South when she was struck by a white 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The woman was crossing in an unmarked area, according to the State Patrol’s statement.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with troopers, State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova said Thursday evening. No charges were filed.

The southbound lanes of Pacific Avenue were closed for 2 hours, 30 minutes.
