A 16-year-old boy was found dead months after he was last seen leaving his work in Arizona, police said.

Bradley Klose’s remains were found Sept. 9 on a remote area of a mountain off 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road, the Phoenix Police Department said in a news release.

A medical examiner identified the remains as Klose, police said.

Klose went missing after getting off work April 8, the Peoria Police Department said in a news release.

His workplace was near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road.

At the time, he didn’t have his phone, and his family didn’t know where he went, police said.

He was considered an endangered missing person because he was autistic, police said.

His remains were found about 5 miles east from his job.

Foul play is not suspected in his death, and there doesn’t appear to be suspicious circumstances, police said.

“This is a heartbreaking end to the search for Bradley. Our family is in mourning and kindly asks for privacy as we work through this difficult time. Though this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we praise God for answering prayers and shining a light on Bradley,” his family said in a statement released to police.

“We would like to thank all of our friends, neighbors, the community and the Peoria police Department for not giving up on the search,” the family said.
