Powerball player wins six-figure prize in Western WA. Where was ticket sold?

A Powerball player missed the jackpot in Western Washington but still won big, according to lottery officials.

The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the drawing on Wednesday, June 10, according to Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.

The lucky lottery player initially scored $50,000, then doubled their winnings with a Power Play, a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson said.

In all, the player tooik home $100,000.

Where was winning Powerball ticket sold in Washington?

The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at a 76 gas station at 26484 Northeast State Highway 3 in Poulsbo, according to lottery officials.

It takes about an hour to drive from Tacoma to Poulsbo.

What were winning Powerball numbers?

The winning Powerball numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were 12, 31, 38, 60 and 66 with a red Powerball of 14, according to the national Powerball site.

What is the current Powerball jackpot?

As of Wednesday, June 10, the current Powerball jackpot was at $258 million with a cash option of about $115 million, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

Powerball drawings are held at 7:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with Double Play drawings at 8:30 p.m. on those nights.

Ticket sales are cut off at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and resume at 6:46 p.m.

The next Powerball drawing is on Saturday, June 13, at 7:59 p.m.

What to know about the Powerball

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands.

Each play costs $2, with the option of adding a $1 Power Play to multiply non-jackpot prizes or a $1 Double Play to enter a second drawing.

Players may choose their own numbers or have them randomly selected.

“The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball,” the national Powerball website said, noting that “the Powerball jackpot grows until it is won.”

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292,201,338, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.
