Lottery player wins big in Western Washington. Here’s where ticket was sold
One lucky lottery player hit the jackpot after buying a winning ticket at a Western Washington convenience store.
The Mega Millions player matched four white balls and the blue Mega Ball to win $10,000 in the Friday, July 3, drawing, according to Washington’s Lottery.
The lottery player used a multiplier to triple their winnings, bringing the total prize to $30,000, lottery officials said.

The winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven, 3625 148th St. SW in Lynnwood.
Lynnwood is roughly an hour from Tacoma by car.
It takes about an hour and 15 minutes to drive from the Snohomish County store to Bellingham, and an hour and 20 minutes to reach Olympia.
What were winning Mega Millions numbers?
The winning numbers in Friday’s Mega Million’s drawing were 5, 9, 29, 47 and 57 with a Mega Ball of 16, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.

How to play Mega Millions lottery game
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 U.S. states as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Players can pick six numbers from two different groups, choosing five numbers from one to 70 for the white balls and one number from one to 24.
Alternative, players can choose the Easy Pick/Quick Pick option and have numbers selected for them.
“You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing,” the national Mega Millions website said. “In the event of multiple jackpot winners, the jackpot prize will be shared.”
