Lincoln Ambassadors: Student trip helps us all experience China

Re: “At rigorous Hong Kong school, Tacoma students are selfie stars” (TNT, 10/10).

TNT’s article about the Lincoln High School ambassadors was good. I only wish the writer could have reiterated some of the history and details about this trip.

The impression of the kids has been great so far. I hope the writer continues to let us know of this great event. I feel that I appreciate this invitation and extension of friendship from the president of China. The kids will come back and give us a better insight, I hope.

I was in China the first year after 9-11 and the Chinese people motioned to their heart when they saw us. Many of the younger generation there speaks English.
