Unions: I’m still in, and proud to belong
“Workers, enjoy your indirect pay raises,” (TNT letter, 7/5).
In response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent Janus decision, the letter writer says: “Now is the time for action on the part of hostages who have for so long been required to pay for union activism as a condition of employment.”
My response to him: Thank goodness for unions — safe work environments and the 40-hour work week — all courtesy of our union brothers and sisters who fought long and hard for these rights.
