Letters to the Editor

ELECTION: Peninsula needs new blood

What the heck is an “ethical consensus builder” (letter, thenewstribune.com)? And why on earth would anyone want to be called that?

It seems as if the Leslie Harbaugh letter-writing campaign has “jumped the shark” at this point. They are really reaching with some of their latest letters to the editor.

Admittedly, I’m not really a Harbaugh fan and probably will not vote for her. I simply think it’s time for new blood on the Peninsula School Board, and that’s not her.

Was she at fault for the last three levies and bonds failing? Maybe; I’m not sure. She definitely was heavily involved. And her co-chair, Harlan Gallinger, certainly played his part in making people mad after the community rejected both the bond and the levy.

I get the need of the Harbaugh campaign to compensate with a slew of letters to the editor, but seriously, the most recent ones are a stretch. Not only are they starting to use grammar only an English professor could appreciate, but they’re also painting Harbaugh as Mother Teresa. I say we all pass on Harbaugh and vote for one of the other guys.
