Lindquist: TNT right to give story prominence
Re: “Where’s fairness and balance?” (letter, 1-31).
Let me assure the writer that there is no “perception” of the crisis that exists in our county directly tied to Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist.
Reporter Sean Robinson has done an amazing job of investigative reporting, and The News Tribune should be applauded for continuing to document and put on the front page this crisis of injustice.
There is no doubt there are good people who work in the prosecutor’s office, and they are doing the job they were hired to do. Lindquist’s secrets have been hidden behind closed doors for years, and they deserve to be on the front page. The public deserves to know of his abuse of authority and misconduct.
Pretending that this is a perception holds no value. You can continue to close your eyes to what is happening in our county because of Lindquist or you open your eyes and see the injustice and the crisis.
Thankfully the TNT and Sean Robinson are doing their due diligence and reporting on things that matter, like justice.
(Iseberg is president of the committee trying to recall Lindquist.)
