Fire engulfs semi truck, forces closure of Tacoma street
A burning semi truck forced the closure of a section of Hosmer Street on Wednesday morning, said Joe Meinecke of the Tacoma Fire Department.
The road was closed until shortly after 9 a.m. so firefighters could pump water to the scene, Meinecke said. The fire was in the parking lot of the closed Ming Palace restaurant and the blaze engulfed the cab of the truck.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
