New York clinic chain enters Puget Sound market with CHI Franciscan
CHI Franciscan Health and CityMD announced a partnership Tuesday that will bring urgent care centers to Seattle and Kent, with plans to expand with “several sites in Pierce and King counties that are scheduled to open by early 2017,” according to a joint release.
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership,” said Ketul J. Patel, CHI Franciscan Health CEO. “Thanks to our innovative partnership with CityMD, our primary goal to increase access to high quality health care for the entire Pacific Northwest region will soon become a reality.”
Founded in 2010 with one New York City clinic, CityMD now counts 50 locations in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.
The Ravenna neighborhood Seattle clinic will have eight exam rooms, and the Kent location, at 12916 SE Kent-Kangley Road, will offer at least 10. The Seattle site will open in August, and the Kent facility will open in October, according to the release.
“CityMD has redefined the urgent care experience in the Northeastern United States,” said Richard Park, CityMD CEO. “Our expansion to the Pacific Northwest will allow us to offer our best-in-class care centers to a region in great need of our services.”
CHI Franciscan and CityMD will announce additional locations for urgent care centers in King and Pierce counties “in the upcoming weeks.”
