A fire seriously damaged a Tacoma house early Wednesday, according to the Fire Department.

The blaze was reported about 6 a.m. in the 4500 block of South G Street.

At least one person who was home at the time of the fire was evaluated but not taken to the hospital.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to douse the flames, which caused extensive damage to the front of the building.

Investigators have not determined what started the fire.
