Man dies after crashing into barrier on SR 410, possibly during cardiac episode
A 61-year-old Bonney Lake man died Tuesday after suffering a medical emergency behind the wheel and crashing his car on state Route 410, according to the State Patrol.
The man has not been identified. An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted Wednesday.
It was about 4:10 p.m. when the man’s 1996 Toyota 4Runner struck a cable barrier just west of 166th Street East in Sumner. No other vehicles were involved.
Troopers arrived to find the man receiving medical treatment from paramedics. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. Troopers said he may have had a cardiac episode.
Collision on SR410 has become a fatality. Fire believes it was a medical emergency, possibly a cardiac episode.
