Brush fire burns along SR 16 in Tacoma

A small brush fire burns Thursday night along state Route 16 near the 19th Street exit in Tacoma. Crews were able to extinguish it within a few minutes, Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova said.

A brush fire burned Thursday night along state Route 16 in Tacoma.

The fire started around 8 p.m. next to the westbound lanes of the freeway near the exit for 19th Street.

Fire crews were able to knock down the small blaze in a matter of minutes, Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova said.
