1 man shot and stabbed, another shot in Thurston County home invasion

Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a home invasion robbery that happened at about 9 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of 15th Avenue Northeast in unincorporated Thurston County.

Deputies reported that two men who were in the home were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, one with a gunshot wound and the other with stab wounds, after two men and one woman allegedly entered the home by force with a gun and knives.

Inside the home, the suspects ordered the victims to the floor and told them not to move, while other suspects rummaged through the house. At some point, the two male victims attempted to resist, which is when they were shot and stabbed.

One man was shot one time in his abdomen and stabbed multiple times in various areas of his body. The second man was shot one time in his leg. Both were listed in stable condition on Monday.

Two women who were present at the time were not injured.

The suspects fled the home after injuring the victims, and it is unknown what, if any, property was taken. Deputies used a trained K-9 to try to track the suspects but it was determined the suspects likely fled in a vehicle.

One of the suspects is described as a white man who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches and skinny, wearing a black sweatshirt and a black bandana over his face. He carried a black handgun.

The second male suspect is also a white man who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches and skinny, wearing an unknown color hooded sweatshirt and a white bandana over his face. He was possibly carrying a knife.

The female suspect was described as white, in her 30s, with long blond hair that was possibly tinted orange. She wore a green plaid skirt with white leggings and a tan sweater. She carried a knife.

The incident is still under investigation, but the Sheriff’s Office does believe this is an isolated incident in which the victims’ home was specifically targeted.
