Girl struck by suspected drunken driver in Tacoma
A car hit a 13-year-old girl walking to catch a bus to school Wednesday morning, Tacoma police said.
The girl suffered a head injury that is not considered to be life-threatening.
A 50-year-old man driving the car was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
The crash occurred about 7:15 a.m. at East F and East 72nd streets as the girl was crossing the street. It was not immediately known whether she was in a crosswalk.
