Man shot, killed near Central Tacoma convenience store
A man was shot and killed at a Central Tacoma convenience store Monday night, according to police.
The shooting, involving two men in their 20s who both had guns, happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of South 12th Street, Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
There was a dispute between the two men that led up to the shooting, Cool said. The person who was shot was taken to a Tacoma hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His identity is not immediately available.
The shooter has been detained, Cool said. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the shooting.
