Puyallup police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found Friday partially submerged in the Puyallup River.
A person walking a dog discovered the man’s body about 12:40 p.m. on a sandbar near The Riverwalk Trail off East Main Street.
Police Capt. Scott Engle said there were no obvious signs of trauma. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine how the man died.
The Riverwalk Trail was temporarily closed during the body recovery.
