A man killed in an apparent drive-by shooting Saturday in Tacoma was 19-year-old Philip Ryan Jr., the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said Sunday.
Their records didn’t indicate where he was from.
Ryan was shot about 1 p.m. near South 10th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, and died from his wounds at a nearby hospital.
No one had been arrested in connection to the shooting, and no motive had been determined, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said Sunday.
Never miss a local story.
The shooting is not related to another that happened near the same intersection Tuesday, she said.
That shooting killed 26-year-old Steven Speakman. Investigators have not determined a motive, or made any arrests in that case, Cool said.
Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
