Spanaway couple’s deaths believed to be homicide-suicide
A couple was found dead inside their Spanaway home Friday and detectives believe it was a homicide-suicide.
They were found about 11:10 a.m. by a family friend who went to check on them at their home in the 2200 block of 145th Street East.
The husband, 75, and wife, 68, were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds. A handgun was recovered near the bodies.
It was not immediately known when the shootings happened or when the couple was last seen, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.
The woman suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, according to the department. Detectives believe the husband shot her before killing himself.
