Elections: Real elitists sit on gold-plated toilets

Re: “Trump: Elitists try to put down populist revolt,” (TNT letter, 6/27).

The letter writer, a Donald Trump supporter, states this presidential campaign is a battle of the rich elitists against the poor, ordinary, tax-paying populists like himself who “want their government to reflect their heritage.”

I’m not sure how the writer defines the word “elitist,” but I would think Trump, a multi-billionaire who flies around in a private jet sitting on his gold-plated toilet, might be an elitist.
