UPDATE: Tacoma’s new Chipotle opening in relocated Tacoma Mall area location rescheduled

The third and final business to launch in the former Pier 1 building adjacent to the Tacoma Mall is opening March 31, after its previously announced opening for March 29 was delayed.
Chipotle Mexican Grill is relocating from the main mall area to its new home.
The new Chipotle features a Chipotlane drive-thru to pick up digital orders placed via the company’s app.
In a statement Wednesday, company media representative Sally Evans told The News Tribune: “The restaurant opening was delayed. The Tacoma Chipotlane will officially open March 31 at 10:45 a.m., and the first 50 customers will receive complimentary Chipotle Goods swag.”
The site is next to other newly opened retailers that stand as part of a satellite retail strip to the mall that includes Nordstrom Rack, Ulta Beauty and Total Wine & More. The strip is part of Tacoma Mall’s redevelopment after the demolition of Sears in 2019.
The former Pier 1 site is also home to Jersey Mike’s Subs, which opened March 23, and an Xfinity Store by Comcast opened in mid-December.
Chipotle’s hours are 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
