Man killed in shooting identified. No arrests made, according to Tacoma police

A man who was killed after a shooting in Tacoma on Wednesday morning has been identified, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Isaiah S. Holloway, 23, died from multiple gunshot wounds. His manner of death was listed as a homicide, the office said in its public information portal.

Officers were dispatched at 4:49 a.m. to the 1100 block of South I Street for shots fired in the area. They found one person injured from gunshot wounds, The News Tribune previously reported. The shooting reportedly occurred alongside the street.

Police began life-saving measures until Tacoma Fire Department personnel arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, the story said. He died at the hospital.

No arrests have been made as of Friday, according to TPD spokesperson officer Shelbie Boyd.

This is the third homicide in Tacoma this year.

Just a block away, another fatal shooting occurred on the 1200 block of South I Street on Sunday. The victim was identified as 53-year-old Johnny Van Nguyen.
