Federal Way fatal shooting suspect, 14, turns himself in, police say

A 14-year-old boy accused in the fatal shooting of another Federal Way teenager turned himself in, police confirmed Sunday night.

Wesley Gennings, 16, was found with gunshot wounds in his car Feb. 13, in the 2000 block of SW Campus Drive.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy Friday who is a student at Thomas Jefferson High School, and they said they were still looking for 14-year-old Diante J. Pellum, of Tacoma.

Pellum turned himself in about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Federal Way police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said, and was booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Center for investigation of murder. He has not yet been charged.

Police said the alleged shooters met Gennings, got in his car, and an argument broke out.

Gennings was a sophomore at Decatur High School in Federal Way.
